Broken Boy 04:32
Maiden Hair: part in the center, alone in the garden you danced in your fallen leaves. Mournful glare, glistening with every breath. The wind exhaled and swallowed the debris. I did all I could, I'm drowning but it feels good. Broken boy: skipping his records, stuck an all his same old melodies. Heavy steps back to that hallow swale, he stood on the steps and retired another year When his heart gave out under the canopy, the darkened old stadium faded under the breeze When the shots rang out down from the balcony, your frail copper petals and seeds succumbed to the freeze. And I did all I could, I'm drowning, but it feels good. Broken boy, you could not save her, encircled in red she called out for deafened ears.

So it begins, born from heartbreak under this hazy purple sky that we once shared. Another day, a fresh new torment It's this lack of purpose that's eating away at the boy I used to know But if we take it slow, soon I hope, it'll get easier You said I was an ocean but you sailed across with all my commotion you got lost you got lost So you got away? Good for you. but my life's just been so empty since you withdrew It's funny how your love turned to hatred since you skewed all the memories of the merriment. It's all been misconstrued, you know it's true. You said I was an ocean but you sailed across with all my commotion you got lost you got lost Last night I dreamed I was holding you, you were holding me and I felt home at last. But when I awoke there was no trace of you no trace of me. I'm a hollow fragment of my past. You said you wouldn't throw me away, instead you stabbed me in the back. I was forsaken, I was betrayed. My life seeped out through the cracks. I was left for dead the day that you fled, I lost all sight of the tracks. Float on by those faded signs, but I'm crawling. The sun is rising over the highway lines, but I'm falling. It's what you said, what about all those promises? You lied to me. You played for me a fool, love

Lean in close and follow me beneath the waves. Perplexed wrinkles in the sheets leave their peaks in your head. Your body's here but you're miles away, a pretty face to meet the day. Let it all fall out from your mind so you can't hide. We have time to run, the sun is shining. You're getting anxious, don't fall away. The tone will change if you wait. Your body's here but you're miles away, a pretty face to meet the day. Let it all fall out from your mind so you can't hide.

Outgrown 04:15
Wait, you wandered astray through the decay that resides in my brain Hey, you're just a little depraved, but I had what you craved so we wasted the day Know everything goes, we must escape what we've outgrown Your movement betrayed a sense of dismay, that you were afraid. But you put yourself on display, and what you became, we could not contain. Know everything goes, we must escape what we've outgrown

The Clĭmb 04:30
Trust it will never break away. Like a spider on a thread, you tether your fate to mine. Feel it sway. Know these memories will fade, through the bourbon on your breath we'll face the past, uproot the distress we retain Lately I've been climbing up a mountain with no crest, all the aches the keep returning but the feelings never did. You say "please you've got to calm down, it's of no consiquence", but it seems lately I've been dwelling on the insignificant. If I stop tearing at the seams, could I just live in my dreams? Don't Break us down, we've come so far. Your brother drowned your mom, he wants a war. I won't help you swim, no I won't help you swim, though I wanted to. Breath in your last breath as your life begins to crest Hold in your secrets, and we'll lay your soul to rest

Wasasamba 03:15
No, while it's not love, it isn't animal impulse But you caught my eye, you could spiral round my mind every night. While she had me on the other line, the stars all began to realign and you had the will to push her right out of my mind I guess that might be fine It drives me insane waiting for you I'm hanging on every word you say, my heart was not unswayed All those regrets just slip away, all memories degrade While she had me on the other line, the stars all began to realign and you had the will to push me right out of my mind I guess that might be fine It drives me insane falling for you

Unrequited 07:34
Found myself in a golden haze Never wasted so many days but I wish they'd put that silver spoon back in my mouth back when it could rain all day I had sunshine when the sky was grey but we were kids then look where we are now all because good times weren't good enough we wanted someone to love before the jesters got on the stage for an hour they prepared their play but the wild beasts they fed could not be allowed The king was so dismayed he grabbed some coffee down at the cafe but he started the party and I wish I was there now all because good times weren't good enough we wanted someone to love Take all those twisted cells inside your brain all the happiness you felt begins to wane scrape the crusty bow along those metal strings as the shell inside your veins starts to ring This house ain't home no more it eroded long ago You were my best friend you're my best friend, you were my You made my life OK on a rainy you made my and I think I've had enough of this unrequited love

about

A sonorous journey through the paramnesia of our titular Anti-Hero, Broken boy explores nostalgia for a time that never existed, including love with a withering tree, distorted memories of drowning relatives, and the increasingly blurred lines between sleep and waking life.
